Broken Flowers

Independent Photography

Pop decadence, the expression of a perfect and extraordinary version of you when the inside is close to welcoming the loneliness and personal self-destruction. Instead of acceptance a great selfie will be exposed on media. The weight of it is taking over society as the goal of showing not what is real, but how you would like it to happen. A beautiful world with beautiful characters but with shades of meaning. A contrast between beauty and social struggle.

Broken Flowers is a work-in-progress project where the family members are portrayed in their most intimal social failure moments of life. The series are colour photography, where the visual concept and photography has been done by Vanessa Alami and the art direction developed by VisualSusana.

The first series is released on 2018 in the city of Barcelona, with the special on-set collaboration of Nacho Gracia. Mrs Flores is the first of the Blue Royal Family portraits. She represents the failure on the top reaching of life. The moment when looniless is confused between being a necessity or a pleasure that declines towards the fake addiction. Addiction to a fake success that is shown when one is returned home alone from an unnecessary party. The best moment appears when a rose punches veins through in a shot of self-esteem as the only option of placebo.

The portrait of this serie is being selected in Lamono Photo Awards.
